Oneida County 4-H Robo-Camp

ROBO-CAMP
JULY 20-24, 2026
For youth entering grades 4 & 5 (private/public/homeschool) in Oneida County
A one-week day camp where youth will be introduced to the world of Lego robotics, as well as coding, problem solving, teamwork, outdoor adventures, and more!
No experience necessary!
Robo‑Camp is designed to give as many youth as possible their first robotics experience. This camp prioritizes participants who have not attended before, and returning campers may be offered a spot if space becomes available.
(Parents, please note: While regular “free build” LEGO-building programs are excellent for nurturing creativity and imagination, 4-H robotics programs offer a more structured environment that encourages learners to stay focused on tasks for extended periods, experiment with different approaches, and persevere through challenges. If your child would do better with a “free play” Lego program, check out the excellent Lego programs offered by your local library!)
COST: $75
For information on Financial Aid please email Jessica Young.
Register by July 1, 2026! Space is limited!
You may request an interpreter, materials in an alternate language and/or format, and/or other services to make this event more accessible. WHAT TO BRING?
- Pack a lunch to bring each day!
- A refillable water bottle.
- Sunscreen & Bug Spray: Nicolet Area Technical College has a healthy mosquito population, so effective bug protection is important. We recommend bringing insect repellent that contains DEET, as natural sprays used in past years did not provide enough protection for student participants and staff ultimately needed to apply DEET-based spray. Please also pack sunscreen for outdoor activities!
- Rain gear
- A positive attitude!
- Youth will have the opportunity to explore Nicolet Campus during this camp and will engage in outdoor adventures. Please be sure they come to camp wearing comfortable clothes and shoes (closed-toe). No sandals are allowed at Robo-Camp!
In LEGO Robotics, students collaborate with peers, share ideas, contribute to group projects, and communicate effectively by expressing their thoughts and listening to others.
